Flexible Dosing Schedule to Optimize Patient Response

A slow titration schedule is associated with fewer serious adverse events and discontinuations for adverse events. Dosage can be decreased at any time and should be adjusted according to patient's response, severity of pain, and occurrence of adverse events.
  • When initiating PRIALT, start low and go slow
  • Slower titration is better tolerated
  • Initiate therapy with PRIALT at a delivery rate between 1.2 mcg/day (0.05 mcg/hr) and 2.4 mcg/day (0.1 mcg/hr) and titrate to patient response
  • Titration increments should not be more than 2.4 mcg/day or more frequent than 2 to 3 times per week (e.g., 1 time per week)
  • Maximum recommended dose: 19.2 mcg/day (0.8 mcg/hr)

Moderate PRIALT dosing schedule allows for an extended 84-day refill schedule
